Mr. Polly Mathew, founder of Somatheeram, being an NRI, living in Germany since 1979, has to his credit played a major role in introducing India's rich tradition of Ayurveda to Europe and the world over.

He has attended almost all International tourism fairs for the last 15 years like ITB Berlin, WTM London, PATA Singapore, BIT Millan, ATM Dubai etc. and many health tourism fairs in abroad.

He is the Global Vice President of World Malayalee Council, Global Vice President of India World Chamber of Commerce, Global Editor of World Malayalee Journal and Managing Editor of Telescreen magazine.

He has received many national and International awards of recognitions, such as Mother Teresa Award, Garshom Award and Pravasi Ratna Award Etc.
He has recently recieved the Kala Kendram Award, conferred to a Malayalee for the promotion of Ayurveda, abroad.
